Tucson Musician Club

About Me:

The Tucson Musician Club is a community of beginner to expert level musicians, vocalists, songwriters, and sound engineers from the greater Tucson area who have joined together to:
• Share their specific technical knowledge, skills & abilities with each other
• Learn from musical collaborations with club members & guest artists
• Grow their individual and ensemble performance skills and styles
• Perform original and/or cover music both inside and outside the club
• Create original music
• Establish new friendships with like minded & talented members

We offer a unique performer development opportunity that just can’t be found anywhere else in Tucson...and it costs Members nothing. Our many free Club activities are designed specifically to motivate, encourage and support our 140+ Club Members and associates to achieve the musicianship, skill levels, and live performance experiences that they have always wanted to achieve but couldn't until now because of more important commitments to education, family, and careers.

We offer our Members several live performance opportunities & challenges throughout the year, mentoring and feedback from more experienced Members, as well as technical skills and songwriting workshops. In essence, we have something of value to offer any and all developing artists and musical hobbyists, as well as professional working musicians… some of whom have joined up with the Tucson Musician Club.

Since the Club’s founding in January, 2007, we have developed a safe and very supportive Clubhouse environment for our Members to meet, learn, collaborate, and perform within. We hold our monthly Club meetings on the 4th Tuesday of each month in the Backstage Room of O’Malleys on 4th Avenue from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. During our monthly meetings, we conduct a little Club business, learn something new, and we each have an opportunity to perform either during unplugged song circle nights or on O’Malleys elevated and lighted stage complete with stage sound equipment and full-spectrum sound engineering capability…a truly professional experience within a professional performance environment.

Throughout the year we put on a variety of shows (Christmas Shows, SAHBA Home Shows, Employee Events, Member Showcases, etc.), play at various venues around town (ie. Old Town Artisans, Hideout Sports Bar & Grill, Starbucks, etc), hold quarterly Member Social Events (parties with lots of Member music & food), conduct skills workshops (Music Theory, Songwriting, Publishing, etc.), host a songwriter circle, etc. We're just having fun together, with our families, friends, and fans...strumming & plucking the strings, banging the skins & tins, blowing our harps & horns, singing leads & harmonies....and we don't care whether its original or covers, we'll leave the posturing, chest beating and drama to others.

As always, members, families, and friends are all highly encouraged to attend any and all of our free Tucson Musician Club meetings and shows.
