Marius Todirita was an illegal alien in Italy, Kacy Armstrong was traveling Europe on a shoe string.
They met busking in the street for spicciolli (spange). He had to hide his identity from the law enforcement so he would say he was Frank Bradley from Phoenix, Arizona, "22 Acacia Avenue"(Iron Maiden song title). He'd just lost his passport and he'll definitely go to the embassy and file the loss first thing in the morning. He really is from Romania but speaks English better than the Carabineers.
Fifteen years later in Tucson, it's a Fusion of East and West culture called Planet Jam. Reggae beats and Gypsy licks, dubby and tight, rocky and rootsy. The lyrycs talk about experiences that Marius had in the Romanian revolution as a drafted private, or concepts like 7-generation awareness, freedom of expression or illegal alien issues.
In September 2007 Kini Wade joined the band on the drums, and Steven Abramson on keyboards.
Highly skilled on their instruments, they add another half a century of music experience to the mix.
