About Me:

My name is Gilbert Castillo and I front a dance/cover band (on top of running my State Farm Agency) that won the TAMMIES award for Cover Band in 2007. We were runners up in 2005 & 2006 thanks to a dedicated core of dancers - primarily in Tucson & Green Valley. We cover dance tunes from the 50's to now. You'll hear us play everything from Buddy Holly to Jimmy Eat World.

Favorite Music

Blues, Jazz & Pop dance. Listen to everything from Miles Davis to Christina Aguilera. Recently, have been listening to a variety of blues from the 50's & 60's on top of letting my teenage daughters surprise me with some of their player selections.

What an honor, a good-sized contingent of Family, Friends & Fans (why differentiate?) have seen to it that we qualify as finalists. So gratifying for something that is so much fun. I hope it lets the Weekly see that live music lives on in so many places for so many ages beyond the downtown area. My/our sincere thanks.
